Little Scientists organises:

Racing Cars Holiday Camps

Coming soon... stay tuned!

The Racing Cars Holiday Camp is designed to capture the magic of the F1® in Schools experience in a condensed program, enabling our students to design, make, test and race their own car designs, while also working on branding, marketing and sponsorship tasks as a focussed team.

For children aged 6 to 10 and 10 to 16

5 Day Holiday Camps:  Monday to Friday from 09:00 to 17:00

What is it about?

By working individually, in pairs or as a team, students can develop their talents to design, make, test a model car and then race their finished models on a 10 metre track.

Design - Make - Race

Students start the process by folding a prestamped chassis net to make a standard 3D racing car with wheels and axles.

Following research, they will design and make a body shell to create their own miniature racing car and go on to test its aerodynamic qualities, using the launch system and roll-out race track, then re-evaluate their designs, to produce a winning car!

What children will learn

- Science applied to the real world
- The process: Research, Design, Make, Test, Modify, Race
- Teamwork
- How to closely follow instructions
- Speaking and listening skills
- Recognising personal strengths and strengths in othe
